Cheddar Bay Veggie Pizza

One of my all time favorite meals to have is pizza! I seriously could eat it every single day! To be honest, there was a point where I would order pizza three times a week! Not great for my waistline and definitely not great for my wallet. While on my weight loss journey I’ve learned to take my favorite food and tweak them so they become “clean cheats”! A clean cheat happens when your favorite foods become just a bit healthier. Here is one of my personal favorite recipes that I’ve created to satisfy my pizza cravings!

 Cheddar Bay Veggie Pizza



1 Container Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
¾ Cup Cold Water
1/3 Cup Lightly Salted Butter
2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
½ Cup Italian Style Pizza Sauce
1 Large Yellow Pepper
10 Cherry Tomatoes
½ Cup Chopped Red Onion

Directions for Pizza Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir water and Red Lobster biscuit mix until dough forms
  4. Place dough on the parchment paper and shape into a pizza20150726_160431
  5. Bake the pizza crust for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  6. While your pizza crust is baking, take a small bowl and heat the butter until it is melted
  7. Create your butter sauce by mixing the herb garlic blend enclosed in the box and mix with the butter
  8. When your crust is ready, remove from the oven and brush the garlic butter sauce over the entire crust

Directions for Toppings:

  1. In a nonstick pan, cook the red onions and yellow peppers
  2. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the pizza sauce on the crust
  3. Cover the sauce with the mozzarella cheese and place your cooked veggies on top
  4. Add the cherry tomatoes to finish
  5. Place pizza in the oven until the cheese is melted
  6. When your pizza is ready, let cool and then serve14410779998821
